Felix Da Housecat collaborator Chris Holmes is facing arraignment in a Los Angeles court on June 25 to face charges of felony possession of a weapon, after airport officials discovered a set of antique brass knuckles in his hand luggage as he checked in for a plane on May 29 at Los Angelese Airport.

Friends of the highly respected DJ/ producer (who's also worked closely with P Diddy and Smashing Pumpkins and fronts his own band The Virgin Tears) said Chris inadvertently packed the family heirloom (a gift from his Grandfather) in his hand luggage, after he moved all his worldly possessions to LA some months previously.

"When the (airport) security guard pulled the brass knuckles out, Chris apologized for his oversight and asked them to dispose of the antique, promising to be more careful next time. He was then informed it is a felony in California to possess brass knuckles, regardless of their age or sentimental value," said his friend Harper Reed (writing on savechrisfromprison.com).

"Chris was fingerprinted, strip searched, photographed and thrown in jail for felony possession of a deadly weapon/ Bail was set for twenty thousand dollars. Chris, who had never been arrested in his life, described the ordeal as "horrific . . . one of the worst days of my life," he said.

According to the site (which Harper has set up to raise funds to help his' legal fees), Chris faces serious jail time of convicted of the offence.
