The godfather of Italian house music, Joe T. Vannelli, hits Family in December for the fist time in his illustrious career. One of the world's most in demand DJ/producers, JTV has scored over 18 gold and 2 platinum records during his legendary 17-year career. Italy's finest DJ has remixed the likes of Thelma Houston, Bohannon and Giorgio Moroder as well as discovering and nurturing talents like Robert Miles and Spiller. This is a night not to be missed for true house aficionado's everywhere as JTV shows Family the best Italy has to offer.

World famous Italian DJ/producer Joe T. Vannelli began his career in 1977 as a radio and disco DJ with engagements in Italy and abroad.

This included personal one-night performances at Supalova Club, New York Bar, Soap and Reinassance, with gigs also at Ministry of Sound, The End and Heaven in London, Pacha and Space in Ibiza, Feel in Manchester, Cream in Liverpool, Soap in Amsterdam and Cavo Paradise in Mykonos. JTV has also made regular tours of the US and Canada, playing in the best clubs of New York, Santa Monica, Boston, Montreal, Miami and Orlando.

A legendary DJ, Joe is able to merge rhythm and melody seemlessly. This special style has subsequently shifted into the recording studio with great success. In 1989, JTV opened his own recording studio (JT Company) and four record labels ; Dream Beat, Dbx (Dream Beat Extreme), Mcw (Music Without Control) and Clubbing.

Among his prestigious remixes, the most remarkable have been Giorgio Moroder, Bohannon, Thelma Houston, Space 2000, Bobby Brown, Mark Morrison and Eartha Kitt among others.

As a producer, Vannelli has helped mould the sounds of Robert Miles, Spiller ('Groovejet' chart-topping in UK) Pink Coffee, Monica Anderson (Omnitel sound track commercial), Eartha Kitt, Nina Moric, Justine Mattera, Csilla, Althea Mc Queen, Allison Limerick, Fathers of Sound and Matt Goss (ex Bros).

It was though Dbx that JTV discovered and nurtured Robert Miles, who accumulated more then 13 million record sales. In 1996, Dbx was the fourth highest selling European record label for single tracks sold.

At the 1999 DJ Awards (Pacha di Ibiza) JTV was bestowed with a 'high honour career prize' for his 'outstanding contribution to DJing industry'. This put him among the select company of Sanchez, Oakenfold, Pete Tong and Basement Jaxx.

In 2000, Vannelli and Dream Beat took Spiller's 'If This Ain't Love', to the top of the UK charts.

In November of that year, like the best DJ's on the planet, JTV established his own night, Supalova Club, every Thursday at the De Sade Cafe' in Milan with a live broadcast on Radio Deejay. From the great success of Supalova, spawned three compilations, all managing to top the sales charts.

In March of 2002, Joe T Vannelli made history as the first Italian DJ to participate in World DJ Day, the world-famous week of dance solidarity that collects the best club and disk jockey on the planet.

Later that year JTV was announced as MTV One Night Tour testimonial DJ. Across ten stages, six of them in the best Italian clubs, the Dance Floor Chart video team captured one of the most electrifying tours Europe has ever seen.

In recent years Joe T. Vannelli has looked to expand his impact across the radio spectrum. Going to air in January 2004, 'Slave To The Rhythm' is one hour completely dedicated to the ultimate innovations in house music, introduced by the coolest voice among all house DJs. Every Saturday has become a radio institution for house music fans around the globe.
