Electroclash founder Larry Tee was delighted with the launch of his electro-disko-punk club Rogue at Manhattan's seminal 80s venue Pyramid last weekend, which attracted guests including Gigolo Records' icon Amanda Lapore and most of Fischerspooner.

"We had a much better start than for my old Brooklyn club Luxx, that's for sure, though it was similar in that a lot of the characters that helped put Luxx on the map, people like Casey Spooner, JD of Le Tigre, and Boy George were all there, and they usually disappear when the mob arrives," Larry told Skrufff.

"But I think Rogue's going to be different," he predicted, "because a lot of people that I adore, never wanted to go out to Brooklyn, no matter how 'cool' it was supposed to be."

"Pyramid's also a bigger space than Luxx was and I think it's time to make this music available to everyone in New York City," he continued.

"Manhattan is in need of a little glamour and good music these days. I feel somewhat responsible."
