Electroclash Burns In Hell

International Gigolo playboy DJ Hell released details of his upcoming artist album NY Muscle this week and signalled he's changed his mind about the much maligned term electroclash.

"NY Muscle is no electroclash one-trick pony," the album's press release declares.

"NY Muscle shows that Hell is not only still the king of electroclash but also a man with a vision that goes well beyond such short sighted confines."

Just twelve months ago, Hell disowned the term entirely, telling Skrufff 'I've been labelled the James Bond of Electroclash, but I never felt a part of this movement, whatever they call it." His unexpected U turn drew an approving response from Skrufff man-in-New York Larry Tee, who copyrighted the term two years ago.

"Hell's the king of electroclash- I'd agree with all that, he's definitely the King and he's also a man with a vision," said Larry.

"Weirdly enough I ran into him while he was shooting his video, here in Brooklyn, which is not the kind of place you'd normally expect to find Hell," he added.

"He had a girl group with him, made up of models and he was all decked out in his international hipster-yuppy-scum look."

NY Muscle is out on 22nd March on Gigolo Records.
