All the tracks on Defected Records new dance compilations album Most Rated were voted for by members of the public, in an interesting departure for track selection of CDs. The double CD features recent hits like Shapeshifters' Lola's Theme, Eric Pruydz' Call On Me and Junior Jack's Da Hype as well as oldies including RIP Groove's Double 99 nad Kings Of Tomorrow's Finally.

"Most Rated evolved as a concept last spring, the desertion of major labels and radio stations from dance music left a huge void in the market. Media in the UK wrongly associated the death of the "super club' with the death of dance, how wrong they were," said Defected label boss Simon Dunmore.

"The public are exactly aware of what they want. All the selected tracks were voted for by those that frequent dancefloors via the internet. 8,000 people contributed to the track-llsting," he said.

The album is being supported by a club tour throughout the UK with Sandy Rivera headlining a number of nights. The nowadays UK based producer is set to release a new album called Trouble shortly, reportedly inspired by stalkers and over-zealous Immigration officials who presumably didn't like his face.

"Due to his frequent visits to the US and Europe his passport has frequently aroused suspicion, he has to date received four warnings and missed two gigs and was on one occasion escorted to a plane for instant deportation," his publicist revealed.

"It was later found out that there was actually nothing really wrong and the fuss was due to a glitch in the immigration system. All Sandy was wanted for was minor traffic offences and unpaid parking fines."
