Darren Emerson's Ibiza Top Tip: Don't Be Too English

Darren Emerson chatted to Skrufff this week about his plans for Underwater's upcoming season at Pacha and revealed one of the key lessons he's learned from the last couple of seasons, is the need to cater for Ibiza's cosmopolitan clubbers as well as Brits.

"You've got to remember the thousands of Italians, Spanish, Germans and everybody else on the island," said Darren.

"I'm not saying that we don't love our Brit crowd but we also want to get everyone involved and make sure our night isn't just a Brit thing."

The dirty house figurehead will also be launching a new bar called K-Ube in Ibiza Town (in collaboration with Javier from Mambo) and told Skrufff the recent terrorist attacks in Madrid have had no impact on his Balearic ambitions.

"You can't live your life worrying about things like that," he said.

"Pacha are a good group of people and I'm sure all their clubs worldwide are fully briefed (on security issues)."

He did concede, however, that he's been taking unusual precautions against the island's notoriously harsh sun, as he gets closer to finishing his long awaited solo album.

"The album's looking really good and I've got a proper studio tan going on now, because I'm literally in there 24/7," Darren continued.

"I'm looking to get it finished by September. You can also get one of my tracks on the new Underwater Episode 3 compilation, it's a jackin' track called "In The Trouble", I've used the dub version on the compilation, it does the job."
