Darren Emerson Keeps It In The Family

Underwater Records chief Darren Emerson has selected tracks only from his own label for his upcoming disc of their latest mix compilation (Underwater Episode 3), which comes out on June 21.

In keeping with his unusual philosophy of keeping as much of his business as in-house as possible, he's also recruited resident DJ Paul Jackson to mix CD 2, who also provides no less than 4 (Underwater) productions across both CDs.

"I'm very family orientated and I like to keep the business like a family," Darren told Skrufff in a recent interview.

"It's all about the family, not all about me; if you give a bit to everyone they're gonna' work for it. I don't want to be a tight cunt like some are," he continued.

"I was going to mention some names but I'd better watch what I say, but some people do. They have people working for them and treat them like shit and I don't think that's right- bad karma. If you rreat people with respect it pays off," said Darren.
