DMEO - Dance Music Event Operations

2004 promises to be a big year for the Clubskool department at William Angliss Institute. The DMEO (Dance Music Event Operations) course is now in its fourth year and the next few months will see a series of workshops being presented in a selection of country towns. Pete Lotis Abram, DJ Jason Rudeboy esq. and Ms Abby Gee are still the main instructors.

However, the main focus remains the DMEO alpha course, which is aimed at those in generation Y who wish to be event organizers, conceptualists, promoters etc.

Some applicants are bedroom DJs who want to organize their own gigs so that they can start getting work. Others just committed entertainment event enthusiasts. Interviews are now being conducted for entry into Australia's only accredited course of its kind.

For 13 weeks on Monday and Tuesday evenings from six pm until nine pm, participants study everything you need to know in order to learn the business of organizing club nights, underage gigs and so on -its event management but with a nightclub/entertainment slant. Along with the aforementioned Chief instructors are guest speakers, excursions and students work on real life events from time to time.

DMEO 10 starts on February the sixteenth and runs for 13 weeks. Its $1200 - for more info call William Angliss Institute on 96062111 or Peter on 0411672187.
