Erick Morillo launched a scathing attack on promoters of England's upcoming Freedom Festival this week, accusing them of falsely adding his name to the bill.

"I apologise if any of you have been mislead, and hope that none of you have bought your tickets yet based on the false advertising from these unprofessional promoters," the funky house Subliminal chief stormed. "I will not be performing at the Freedom Festival."

However, organisers of the charity fund raising event responded immediately to Erick's complaint, blaming an unnamed management company for causing the confusion.

"In response to the press release stating that Erick Morillo had been advertised as appearing at the 'Freedom Festival', when he has in fact not been booked to appear, the organisers would like to state that they are as shocked as Erick Morillo's management to find out that Erick hasn't been booked," they said.

"The organisers will be speaking to Erick's management to try and rectify the situation. All other DJs on the line-up are 100% confirmed," they stressed.

Energy Flash legend Joey Beltram, Danny Rampling and Slipmatt headline the five arena, 15,000 capacity event that takes place at Larmer Tree Gardens in Salisbury on October 16. Freedom Festival supports the Willow Foundation charity.
