Channel [V]'s Big Coverage Of The Big Day Out

As official television partners of Australia's biggest festival event Channel [V] are set to unleash exclusive BIG DAY OUT shows, segments and specials that will keep music lovers glued to their TV sets in January and February.

Kicking off this Sunday Jan 18th from 4.00pm EDST, Channel [V] goes live to capture the excitement from the first Australian BDO event on the Gold Coast. This is the first of 4 live outside broadcasts. Channel [V] will go live from both of the Sydney Big Day Out events and in Melbourne on Monday Jan 26th. All broadcasts will begin at 4.00pm EDST and will feature artist interviews and crosses to live performances.

Then from February 3rd at 8.00pm EST, Channel [V] will present the BIG DAY OFF - an exclusive 4 part series where [V] viewers take you behind the scenes of what four of the biggest names in the music world do on their day off.

Take metal giants METALLICA, Australian rockers JET, hip hop heroes the BLACK EYED PEAS and UK sensations THE DARKNESS, throw in some die hard fans, Channel [V]'s cameras and you have the recipe for some rock n' roll mayhem. The BIG DAY OFF series kicks off with a look at what The Black Eyed Peas do when not tuning instruments and wooing crowds and taking one of their die hard fans along for the ride.

Channel [V]'s coverage of the 2004 BDO event will culminate in the BIG DAY IN. On Saturday Feb 7th and Sunday Feb 8th Channel [V] will take hostage of the airwaves across two bumper days of exclusive programming to present the best interviews and live performances from the biggest touring live music festival in the world.

Featuring artist interviews by [V] crew featuring Jabba, Andrew G, James Mathison and Yumi Stynes viewers are invited to crank up the volume and tune in to Channel [V] for comprehensive live performances, interviews and backstage shenanigans from the 2004 event. Artists featured will include Metallica, Jet, Black Eyed Peas, The Hoodoo Gurus, Muse, The Dandy Warhols, Something for Kate, The Darkness, The Datsuns and Skulker, The Flaming Lips, The Mars Volta, Magic Dirt, Thursday, Poison The Well, Kings of Leon, Jet, Lostprophets, Butterfly Effect, 1200 Techniques, Gerling, The Sleepy Jackson, Basement Jaxx and many, many more.
