Electronic pioneer Richard H Kirk has compiled a double CD collection of unreleased material between 1974-89 which also includes his previously available track Martyrs of Palestine, which commemorated terrorist attacks in 1985 at Rome and Vienna airports.

"It's news again only more so," The Cabaret Voltaire producer said, on why he'd included the controversial track.

"In fact, it's the only fucking news that we seem to be living with right now."

Chatting to Skrufff last year before the Iraq war started, the Sheffield experimentalist was equally cynical about the motives of the Bush administration and Tony Blair for invading Iraq.

"We're being subjected to so much propaganda linking Iraq to terrorism and I think America and lots of other Governments have used that to clamp down on liberties in general," he suggested.

"By joining in with this American thing I think Britain will start to get attacked, whereas prior to that I don't think Britain was a target. Americans are making their own trouble everywhere in the world and I don't see why we should get the shit from that.
Maybe Britain should become more like Switzerland."

Richard H Kirk: Earlier/ Later- Unreleased Projects Anthology 74/89 is out in May on Mute Records.
