Broken Home Xmas Shindig feat EK (live)

Author: Broken Home
Tuesday, December 14, 2004
Once again and for the last time at Brown Alley, the Broken home crew band together to bring you the Xmas shindig of gastronomical proportions; and no, we're not talking about leaving you with the runs after munching all that Xmas cheer down, either!

This month Broken Home says goodbye to Brown Alley after 8 consecutive parties, with a night that is sure to mark itself in the history books of Australian Breaks. And to end it in style, the Three Blind Geese can think of any better way to go out with a bang, than a free night with Melbourne Breaks Genius EK who will perform live Christmas carols for y'all!

Occasionally named "Eddie' by his mum, EK is no stranger to the global appreciation for Nuskool breaks. In fact, with a string of gigs longer than Keltec, Brewster and Dan's arms combined, it's no wonder EK is in hot demand right now. His release and remix repertoire is just as impressive, when you look at some of the more notables he has worked with including Hyper, The Crystal Method, Stisch and more recently Vigi & Nectarious.

Currently EK is spreading his sound of funky, rolling breaks, influenced by his love of Hip Hop, creating a new sub genre within a sub genre, considered the EK breaks sound and will be performing Live at Broken Home Saturday 18th December, including giveaways of his new mix compilation, out now through all mentionable record stores!

Another Notable entrant to the Broken Home stables for Christmas is the return of the beaver DJ slot and breaks rising star Scott Feigan. Scott's involvement with the Melbourne Breaks scene over the last two years has seen the success of the Relax parties at 2 floors up - now six feet under - as the crew turned their focus to weekly events such as Fractured and Room680. Now no stranger to the console, Scott joins the Broken Home family to deliver a suite of Hip Hop infused, Funky breaks and electro styles that's going to leave the cellulite burning for weeks!

As a thank you for the last 8 months, entry will be FREE for anyone with a Broken Home Xmas card or Brown Alley free entry card. There will be no gaggle of blaggers list this month, however expect the usual shenanigans, lollies, giveaways and mistletoe!

So join Brewster, Keltec and Mangan - and Scotty, as the beaver - for a night of debaucherous beats, rhymes and Christmas cheer as we ramp up for a new beginning in 2005. The next Broken Home party will also be free at the 2005 St. Kilda festival, where all will be revealed.
