2004 DMC Technics World DJ Championships Australian Final

Friday the 13th of August will see Australia's top turntablists on stage at the Melbourne Metro for the Australian Final of the 2004 DMC Technics World DJ Championships. In the solo competition, Victorian champ DJ Perplex will be joined by NSW champ DJ Eko plus the winners of the remaining state heats in a head to head battle where only one thing is guaranteed; there can be only one winner!
Reigning champ Staen 1 from Adelaide will be flying in to defend his crown in a bid to secure his ticket to the World Finals in London in September. Also on the night will be the finals of the 2004 Team Battle, with Melbourne's Dirty Duo (J-Red and Selekt) taking on Sydney's Decknicianz crew for the national title.
Performing live on the night will be respected Melbourne artists Muphin, Plutonic Lab and DJ FX, with more special guests to be announced soon. Also to keep the vibe moving along, there will be a live graf demo and a breaking show courtesy of the BurnCity Bboys and Freshsox crew consisting of Qwesroc, Lama, Gucci, DWP, Anjo, Jemz, Pepito, Mousa, Hide, Smerk, Nasa and Culps.
All this local Hip Hop talent along with DJ Selekt on the decks and an after party in the Gods bar add up to one hell of an evening's entertainment.
There will be door prize giveaways of a brand new Technics SL1200 turntable and an e398 Motorola mobile phone that will be going home with lucky people from the audience, plus we have the usual stack of audience giveaways courtesy of our sponsors K-Swiss, www.djrecords.com.au, Ortofon, UDG, and DMC records.
