Bamboo Forest (Dragonfly Records/France - live)

Bamboo Forest, a duet of the french scene brings together two musicians, Stephane and Yann.

Previously playing in a jazz and rock fusion band.the two went on to start making their unique style of trance. A major attraction at the samotraki festival in greece, they have released their music through Dragon fly, Sprit zone, Flying rhino and soon through Vision quest.

Bamboo Forest was first created in 1995 by Stephane. A short while on, he met Yann who played under the stage name of Yucatan. Both grow up in a universe where music was a central point to all forms of instrumental production such as piano, guitar and jazz studies. From here on they got on well and decided to work together in 1997 to develop the name
Bamboo Forest.

The extensive dedication that has been put into this project over the past 5 years has allowed them to penetrate the club scene, parties, festivals across the globe. Permanent discovery of a new musical universe enabled by performing live concerts abroad gives them the chance to widen their spectrum.

Since then, they have been working for various labels oversees releasing singles and compilations. At present, they are working on a brand-new album which will be released under the label Vision Quest records.

The Astrix comic character promotes himself as the leader of a revolution, it was this quality that attracted Astrix to the name and it he brings this intensity to his music production. Hailing from Israel, famous for their particular form of trance dominated by high quality production values and crystal clear sound scapes.

True lover of Trance music, Astrix draws his inspiration from groups like Infected Mushroom, G.M.S, Hallucinogen, he is one of the rising stars in the Global trance scene.

He has released tracks through international labels such as Telstar (UK), T.I.P World (UK), Transient (UK), Millennium (UK) EMI (Japan), Solstice (Japan), New Funk (Japan), Universal (Mexico), Sound Sorcery (Mexico), Spun (U.S.A), Cyber (Holland), TBA (Switzerland)Avalanche (Germany), HOMmega (Israel),BNE (Israel), Phonokol (Israel) and more...

Astrix has just finished compiling an Israeli trance compilation for the UK label - TIP World. Its name is 'Nu-Clear Visions of Israel'. It features new & unreleased tracks from the Israeli best like: Cosma, Sub6, Psy Sex, Xerox & Illumination, Psy Craft, Hujaboy, Delirious and more.

On the horizon there will be a long awaited Infected Astrix collaboration as well as new tracks on forthcoming compilations from TIP, Spirit Zone, HOMmega and more.

The bliss series steps up into high gear after the completely sold out 4 th installment featuring Infected Mushroom, Bliss returns to the plush surrounds of QBH for yet another
comprehensive foray into all things psychedelic.
