Acclaimed New York punk-funksters !!! (Pronounced Chk Chk Chk) have announced details of a one off London show at taking place at The Mean Fiddler, in Charring Cross Road on December 3.

The 8 piece US band are one of the best to emerge from the 'punk-funk' arena inhabited by the likes of the Rapture and LCD Sound System (who!!! er Tyler Pope also plays with) and will be playing tracks from their upcoming album plus breakthrough club track Me & Giuliani Down by The School Yard (a True Story).

Chatting to Skrufff recently, Mario Anderson explained the genesis of the Gillian track, dedicated the infamously puritanical former New York mayor.

"The music was written when Gillian was still in office, though the lyrics came after 911," said Mario.

"We'd been talking about him before 911 with regards to New York's cabaret laws, a couple of our friends work in bars and in New York you need permits for dancing- specialised permits. The song started from there and it's not necessarily just about him, it paints a larger picture about America."
