US Cannabis Claims Are 'Incredibly Disgusting Government Propaganda'

Attempts by American authorities to equate marijuana with heroin and cocaine are 'an incredibly disgusting example of government propaganda', according to Keith Stroup, executive director of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML).

Mr Stroup was responding to a letter sent to US authorities by Federal Drug Pollicy officials over Christmas which included claims that cannabis makes users violent and is more addictive than heroin and cocaine."

"This war against marijuana smokers has become a jihad," he told CNSNews.com.

"It's a holy war for these [Bush administration] fools. Truth is a first victim of war."
