Techno types terrified of spiders could soon be cured of their phobia, the Independent suggested this week, after doctors announced that a drug used for curing tuberculosis could also cure panic attacks within a week.

The discovery is likely to delight techno DJs Ade Fenton and Laurent Garnier, both of whom recently admitted to being scared of spiders. The TB drug D-Cycloserine might also be helpful for tackling anxiety disorders for conditions including stage fright, a condition Laurent Garnier appears happily immune from, at least concerning his music.

Several years ago, the uber-cool tastemaker boasted of owning two copies of 'The Birdie Song', and revealed he likes nothing better than mixing them together whenever he gets the chance.

"When I'm really drunk with a few of my friends I love playing that shit," Garnier told the Standard.

Hey, I'm not embarrassed," he added.

"I'm proud of my 'Grease' and 'Saturday Night Fever' albums too."
