Total New York Smoking Ban Kicks In Soon (Midnight March 29)

Smoking tobacco in all bars, restaurants and clubs in New York will be effectively outlawed from midnight on Saturday March 29th, in the latest stage of the city's puritanical attack on nightlife.

How the new ban affects the city's already under siege clubs remains to be seen though the New York Times reported this week that clubs with security could struggle with patrons seeking to step in and out to smoke cigarettes on the street.
