Tony Blair Launches 'Moral' Cultural Crusade

British Prime Minister Tony Blair is copying his hero George Bush by offering fundamental Christian groups 'a central role in policy making, putting religion right at the centre of government', according to an alarming report in this week's Observer.

The story emerged just days after The Vatican launched a campaign against gay marriages on the grounds that homosexuality is 'deviant behaviour', noting 'people need to be reminded that the approval or legalisation of evil is something far different from the toleration of evil." George W appeared to agree, saying 'I believe marriage is between a man and a woman', adding, 'I am mindful we are all sinners'.

Bush's comments drew a sharp response from the normally subservient New York Times who interviewed a gay journalist and asked him what he thought of Bush's 'manly' image.

"Cowboy boots are fine for a certain kind of saucy backyard barbecue, but wearing them as often as he does, with those big belt buckles in the shape of Texas, it seems like he's trying too hard to prove his masculinity," the journo told the Times.

"He needs to dip into the merciful world of cosmetic products and avail himself of some kind of lip balm or gloss that helps mask the fact that he misplaced his lips somewhere."

Biblical scholar turned rock & roll superstar Moby also laid into George W's anti-gay position branding him a 'poll-driven, anachronistic right-wing puppet'.

"It's strange that Christians get so bent out of shape about homosexuality, 'cos the truth is that no one knows what Jesus might or might not think about homosexuality," Moby said on his website journal.
