Much-mocked UK hip-hop king Tim Westwood played down the trauma of being shot and wounded in a drive-by incident in South London several years ago, telling NME this week 'it didn't hurt.'

"I was pretty aware of what was going on at the time," The Radio 1 spinner recalled.

"I was just thinking about the second shot and when that comes you're thinking about the third shot."

His matter-of-fact stance matched that of UK garage victim Dizzie Rascal, who was ambushed and stabbed five times in Ayia Napa this summer.

"It's like when someone digs you in the arm," said Dizzie, recalling the first cut.

"Second time it feels the same only you know you been stabbed twice. Third time, you can't really feel it. Fourth time, fifth time . . . you don't really know what's going on." (NME)
