The Battle Begins

On Wednesday 3rd September 6 DJs will compete for $250 to spend at Upfront Records and for a chance to move onto the Future DJ final to be held in October.

The Future DJ competition has unearthed many aspiring and established DJs for the first year of the event, receiving interest from DJs across the country and even internationally.

"I've a couple of emails from the States asking if there was another Future DJ initiative there, not to mention interest from the UK via the website as well," advised its Director Ravi Chand.

This Wednesday Seven Nightclub will showcase DJs from Victoria University, Northern Melbourne Institute of Tafe (NMIT) and Melbourne University.

Representing Victoria University will be DJ LCJ and Mz Rizk, whilst Chris Thatcher and Mic L will hold stage for NMIT and finally Jinny Jess and Chronictraxx will battle on behalf of Melbourne University.

Every Future DJ regional final has been programmed not only for an awesome DJ battle showdown but has been developed as an event in itself with special guest and/ or pre-battle sets by Sean Quinn and the Next Rave Generation DJs.
