UK based electronic producers capable of performing their music live, either as live PAs in nightclubs or stand alone events, are being invited to apply for one of 10 awards of up to £2,500, under the PRS Foundation's Live Connection scheme.

The project is now in its third year and according to panel member John Truelove, is aiming to attract applicants 'beyond those who seem to spend their entire lives only applying for arts grants.'

"We've got ten grants of £2,500 to hand out and we give them to the acts the panel think are the most worthy contenders," Truelove told Skrufff.

"I've often said live electronic music is an oxymoron (contradiction in terms); the prizes will go to people who can defy that definition, who can present electronic music in a genuine live performance.

The awards are open to anyone primarily working in the UK, previous winners include aid techno star D.A.V.E. The Drummer.

Download application forms and guidelines here- closing date for applications is Thursday August 14.
