British producer Eddie Lock has licensed his tech-house anthem Bang to The Beat Of The Drum for a party political broadcast for Democrat presidential Howard Dean, Eddie told Skrufff this week.

The globe trotting jock (he's currently spinning in India after a full season in Ibiza) said his decision to allow the outspoken critic of George W's Iraq War to use his track, was based on commercial rather than ideological reasons, and revealed he'd have been equally happy to offer his music to the Republican cause.

"I'm not fully conversant in American politics to take a strong position either way so I guess so," Eddie admitted.

"I think the majority of other musicians would as well, since it's a brilliant way to promote a record."

Howard Dean's 30-second video featuring the track has already appeared on CNN, and will be airing on MTV and other major US TV channels over the coming weeks.
