TECHiONE celebrates his third anniversary with Pulse Radio

Pulse Radio celebrated it's third birthday earlier this year.

Originally starting out as an underground network of DJs, Pulse Radio has become recognised internationally as one of the pre-eminent supporters of emerging electronic music and new artists.

Using a model which is unique world-wide, Pulse is a community based network which follows the setting sun around the world, bringing live sets from an international team of upcoming DJs and is dedicated to breaking new acts. Pulse currently broadcasts sets from over 10 countries.

Over the past three years there have been many highlights. Earlier this year, Pulse hosted a party at WMC in Miami where the crowd was blown away by a fresh line up of Pulse's international DJs. For many, it was their first time playing the US, and a rare opportunity to play at one of the world's highest profile dance events.

Approximately three years ago, Pulse started a vehicle for DJs & Dance Acts to increase their profile internationally, including Inertia, the now well known Jules Beaumont and long time Pulse resident, Dave McCann aka TECHiONE.

Dave McCann has become a Sydney legend of the tech scene.

This month, Dave will be celebrating his third birthday on air with Pulse, hosting the show Tech Funked.

Tech Funked has been playing every Monday night for three years was one of the first shows to be featured on Pulse.

Under the alias "TECHiONE", Dave mixes up a range of awesome techno, tribal, tech-house live from Sydney.

Dave McCann is someone who is passionate about underground and electronic music that sits under the 'tech' genre, with no bias to its origin.

In 1995 Dave relocated from Adelaide to Sydney with live dance cross-over rock band BLISS, performing regularly with bands such as Def-FX, Inertia, Renegade Funktrain, Swoop and Skunkhour.

It's now 2003, Dave has been producing a wide range of underground, electronic, dance music and performing it live as a solo act, regularly around Australia.

Performing alongside many globally respected artists and DJs such as: Richie Hawtin, Oliver Ho, Devilfish, Paul Oakenfold, CJ Bolland, Cru-L-T, Grooverider and Force Mass Motion to name a few. Dave is currently producing and performing tribalistic, deep, melodic, funky, minimal, percussive techno / tech-house as TECHiONE.

Tech Funked can be heard on Monday nights at 9:30pm Sydney time.

Pulse Radio is now launching into its fourth year with full force. Fresh new artists have been signed up and new shows added to our schedule.

In 2003 you will see new artists, more tunes and more music features. Pulse will also be hosting some new and exciting projects which are sure to keep your musical taste buds tantalised and totally satisfied.
