Straight Gays Queer Metrosexual Pitch

Gay/ straight dress codes are becoming increasingly diluted, the Sunday Times declared this week, nominating the new term 'stromos' (straight-dressing gay men) in their weekly what's hot/ what's not column.

"Very confusing for hetero girls," sniffed the ST. "Very confusing indeed."

The trend could be even more confusing for metrosexuals ('heterosexual men just gay enough to be really desirable as a straight'-Marian Salzman) who've been increasingly copying trend setting gays, including unlikely meterosexuals President Bush and his sinister far right Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.

"Rummy is a metrosexual," a gay political reporter told the New York Times in a recent article.

"He may be a warmonger, he may be intemperate, but just about every third woman I know wants him."

The journalist was also clearly taken with George W's gay friendly demeanour.

"Whenever you see him walking off Air Force One with that little furball Barney under his arm, that canine puff of air that most drag queens wouldn't be caught dead with, it's like he's halfway to a Chanel rabbit fur handbag," he added.
