Space Ibiza Opens This Weekend (June 2)

Carl Cox, Steve Lawler and Smokin Jo headline Space's opening party this Sunday morning, marking the real beginning of Ibiza's clubbing season for 2003. The two run daytime orientated club remains one of the island's most popular and plushest venues, its only downside being their ultra-strict security, who prowl the premises constantly seeking pot smokers or clubbers smuggling illicit bottled water into the club.

Smokin Jo has also remixed the club's upcoming mix CD Space Ibiza 2003, which comes out on July on Azuli Records. Azuli will themselves be maintaining an additional presence on Ibiza this years, hosting 6 luxury boat parties in association with Bar ETNO (their first cruise sets sail on Friday July 4, for details check azuli.com).

The UK house label will also be maintaining their collaboration with Charlie Chester's extremely full on DC10 parties, hosting a joint party on June 30 featuring Dave Piccioni and Ricky Montanari. DC10 takes place every Monday morning from around 10am and, being one of the genuinely best clubs on the island, is not for the faint-hearted.
