Soft Cell Legend Launches His DJ Career

Marc Almond will be making his DJ debut in London next Sunday at Electric Stew Versus Sketch, which takes place at Sketch's Central London venue between 6pm and 2am.

The legendary electro singer/ songwriter was one of the key pioneers of 1980s synth pop, both in musical and cultural terms and he's presumably been tempted onto the decks for the first time by the emergence of the electroclash scene.

Joining him at the party is Blackstrobe's Ivan Smagghe and acid house veteran Mark Bell, better known as LFO (returning after a 7 year absence, during which he's produced Bjork and Depeche Mode).

Tickets cost £14 from the venue (on Conduit) plus Soho shops including Kokon To Zai and Victim.
