Singapore Sex Laws- Still Nil By Mouth

Residents of Singapore expressed rare dissent in the letters pages of local newspapers this week, following the jailing of a local cop for receiving consensual oral sex from a 16 year old girl.

The 27 year old cop was sentenced to two years in jail under section 377 of Singapore's notoriously puritanical Penal Code, which states, 'whoever voluntarily has carnal intercourse against the order of nature with any man, woman or animals can be fined and jailed up to 10 years, or even for life."

"Does anyone not realise how archaic the law against oral sex is-" said one letter writer in the Straits Times newspaper.

"There is no reason why the law should interfere with anyone's sex life (Sify.com, India).

In more oral sex news, Japanese magazine Weekly Playboy suggested the country's ongoing economic crisis is prompting more young men to take up cunnilingus, in response to a rise in adult films portraying the practise.

"Men tend to get weaker when the economy is bad," said Hitokazu Saito, from top porn producers Moodyz.

"Most in the industry seem to think that guys have become more passive."
