Saudis Execute Iraqi Cannabis Man

Saudi Arabian authorities killed an Iraqi man this weekend after they found him guilty of smuggling cannabis into their country.

The notoriously brutal Gulf state executed the dope fiend under their strictly interpreted Sharia law, which take an American style zero tolerance approach to its logical conclusion.

The Iraqi was probably beheaded, the New Zealand Herald implied though it's possible under the Islamic law that he could have been killed by a more imaginative method.

In recent cases in Iran, one criminal was executed by being tied up in a sack then hurled off a cliff, while one adultress was buried up to her shoulders then stoned to death by a mob of law abiding citizens (presumably after they resolved any debate about who should cast the first stone).
