Road Rage Rapper Recovering (Relatively) Rapidly

Fun-Da-Mental frontman Dave Watts, who was run down by a road rage attacker in Harlesden last month, is up and about on crutches and is hoping to spend Christmas in Tenerife, he told Skrufff this week.

Dave's lower leg was snapped in two when the maniac driver deliberately reversed over him and admitted he'd been demoralised by finding himself immobilised with steel pins in his leg.

I've been having a few dark moments, to be honest, where I wake up and think 'fuck, I'm still in this state'," Dave admitted.

"I've got to keep my leg propped up at 45% so sometimes when I'm sleeping my foot doesn't get enough blood which makes sleeping a little difficult. I'm just trying to stay positive."

"On the upside, I've just started getting back to work on making the Fun-Da-Mental DVD with my mate Dawit and wee're hoping to have it really for early next year, we're just in the process of compiling interviews, live footage and performances throughout the years."

Dave also revealed he's pessimistic about whether his attacker will be caught, despite the accident happening in broad daylight on a Saturday afternoon on Harlesden High Street.

"The police have interviewed a few witnesses but they don't seem very confident they're gonna' be able to catch the guy," said Dave.

"One policeman told me he needed to use a computer at Scotland Yard but with (George W) Bush coming over last week, getting computer access to track down the car that ran me over, hasn't been a top priority at Scotland Yard."

"On a more positive note, I'd like to say thanks to all the people that contacted me (through the original Skrufff story) to express their thoughts and best wishes to get my right shoe on as soon as possible," he added. "I'm working on it."
