Organisers of an upcoming drum & bass event in Austin, Texas, headlined by drum & bass legend LTJ Bukem announced this week that they've switched the event to Dallas after local cops threatened them with the RAVE act.

"Apparently someone within Austin law enforcement has targeted this event as "high-risk" and has issued severe "warnings" that any venue we attempt to hold the event at will receive major police presence and scrutiny, something that no venue owner really wants to deal with," event organisers Feedback magazine said in a statement.

"So instead of cancelling the event, we moved it to Dallas."

The acclaimed regional dance magazine called on music fans to support civil liberties group EMDEF in their campaign to challenge the anti-music laws, which threaten to wipe out nightlife throughout the States.

"Visit EMDEF's Action Page and sign a petition or two opposing the unjust laws currently being proposed against organizations such as Feedback which bring you safe and legal electronic music events.
