When it comes to big dance records, there's only one label that has a history of turning underground tunes into fully-fledged hits. In its ten-year history, Postiva has helped put dance music firmly on the map. Their big club hits from the likes of Fragma, Spiller and Shy FX have all become mainstream anthems and now they have another Number One to add to their haul.

Room 5 feat. Oliver Cheatham beat off stiff competition from both Gareth Gates and Westlife last week to become the labels fifth Number One. "Make Luv" is one of those uplifting house anthems that has limitless crossover appeal. Its success firmly proves that dance music is far from dead, having sold over 111,000 copies in its first week alone. We'd even go one better and suggest that the scene is about to undergo the kind of positive transformation seen back in 1996/1997; sometimes all it takes is a bit of sunshine and one outstanding record.

This week's success couldn't come at a better time for Positiva as the label celebrates its 10th Anniversary in April. Look out for special events and releases as these will be happening throughout the year. The launch party for the 10TH Anniversary took place at the Miami Winter Music Conference, attracting capacity numbers to the National Hotel for a 6 hour spectacular featuring The Scumfrog, Junior Jack & Kid Crème, Kurtis Mantronik, Jason Ellis, and Ben Cherrill. The sun was hot, the women were hotter, and the pool was a seething mass of dancing limbs as the likes of Dirty Vegas, Mutiny, Jon Carter, Radio 1's Dave Pearce, Fergie, Lottie, Yousef, and many more cut a rug as Junior Jack (aka Room 5) span "Make Luv". Cue huge cheers and such a great response that he played it 3 times!

A compilation "Positiva Presents A Decade Of Dance", is released in May and features over 40 tracks from artists such as Spiller, Room 5, The Bucketheads, Barbara Tucker, BBE, Reel 2 Real and many more.
