Phil Spector on The Difference Between Lennon & Kurt Cobain

Legendary 'wall of sound' music producer Phil Spector, who was this week accused for shooting a woman at his LA mansion, appeared in a rare newspaper interview last weekend discussing the differences between Kurt Cobain and John Lennon.

The article appeared just two days before Spector was charged with murder and included his now prescient thoughts on famous gun killings.

"When Kurt Cobain died somebody phoned me from Time magazine and said, 'I haven't been this upset since John Lennon died', said Spector.

I said, 'You don't know the difference between Kurt Cobain and John Lennon-' He said 'No', what's the difference-' I said, 'That's too bad because Kurt Cobain did'."
