Pete Tong Marks 30 Years of (Pure) Pacha

Pete Tong's upcoming season of Friday night events at Pacha will kick off on June 20, the Ibiza superclub announced this week. His night is being branded as Pure Pacha and features additional uest DJs including Laurent Garnier, Danny Tenaglia and Paul Oakenfold.

"I'm doing 15 weeks there, with I think one Friday off throughout the whole season," Pete told Skrufff in a recent interview.

"Ministry had a good seven year run there but Pacha decided they wanted to take back control of their night because it's their 30th anniversary on the island this year."

His commitment to spend almost every Friday of the summer on the White Island will prompt radical changes in his hugely influential Friday evening radio show, he revealed.

"Taking on a full summer residency is a challenge, we're also moving the radio show to Ibiza for the summer, every week," he said.

"Radio 1 have been really behind the idea because it gives them a different angle."
