Pete Tong Joins Fashion TV

Britain's most influential DJ Pete Tong has teamed up with satellite channel Fashion CD to release a new compilation mix CD, in what's his first serious label project since parting company with FFRR/AOL at the end of last year.

The new mix CD comprises two CDS, split broadly between old and new, with CD1 including housier tracks from the likes of Lil Louis, Lee Cabrera and Gus Gus and CD2 exploring a more late night, predominantly downtempo vibe (relatively).

Standout tracks include Underworld narrative rich 8 Ball, Green Boat's Neneh Cherry sampling hip hop tinged Seesaw Pea and Lemon Jelly's Closer, for a compilation that certainly stands out from the pack.

"We need to constantly remember why people want to come to clubs," said Tong. "Which is simply to have a great time and feel the music."
