Positiva records are pleased to announce that Paul Van Dyk has signed to the label in the UK. The internationally renowned artist and DJ will release his first single through the label on 30th June. Entitled 'Nothing But You', the track features Hemstock & Jennings and vocals from Jan Johnston and Kym. Remixes come courtesy of Faithless and Cirrus.

The single has caused a huge buzz in Europe and the signs are that it looks set to match Van Dyk's previous Top 15 successes in the UK, having already hit No. 1 in the Cool Cuts chart and No. 2 in the Buzz Chart. Paul's biggest hit, 'Tell Me Why', featuring St Etienne's Sarah Cracknell, previously reached No. 7 in 2000.

Paul's fourth artist album, 'Reflections', is set for release in September and will feature several high-level collaborations from across the musical spectrum. Paul is currently working on the album in Berlin, although several tracks have already been completed. Further details and a tracklisting will be announced shortly.

This will be the first artist album since the highly praised long-player, 'Out There And Back', which received both critical and commercial approval upon its release in 2000 and reached No. 12 in the UK album charts. The past three years has seen Paul stepping up his international duties. Several high-profile tours and releases have led to an increasingly warm reception in the USA, picking up plaudits from the likes of Rolling Stone and Billboard for his highly distinctive brand of electronica. His US label, Mute, are keen for Van Dyk's progress to mirror that of label-mate and fellow dance artist, Moby, and are simultaneously releasing 'Reflections' in September.

JASON ELLIS - DIRECTOR, POSITIVA:

PAUL VAN DYK:

I am very excited about my new album and the prospect of working with Positiva - they have made me feel very welcome as an artist."
