Partyzoom IMB Dance Music Awards 2002

The time is ripe to find out who belongs to the best of the best this year - who qualifies for the desired Dance Music Award with their work and who earns it effectively. We are looking for the tip of the iceberg in electronic music and we are certain the visitors of www.danceaward.ch will find it.

Due to the thousands of supporters of this music style Partyzoom IMB decided to call the Dance Music Award into life a year ago. National as well as international artists and organisations all having to do with electronic music will be elected from 26 categories.

In the time of glamour and progress the first oscar-award ceremony was held in 1929, a recognition for the best in the film industry. As we recognise many similarities between the film and the music industry the 2ND DANCE AWARD takes place in honour of this infectious era intending to create an established and recognized award to promote electronic music especially in Switzerland.

There are 26 categories:

National
best house DJ, best trance DJ, best hardcore DJ, best goa DJ, best techno DJ, best newcomer DJ, best event, best web-magazine, best photo & database website, best organiser, best dance act, best label, best radio, best flyer, best print magazine, best club, best album, best video-clip, best single, best fashion-store.

International
best DJ, best indoor event, best outdoor event, best party destination, best parade, best fashion label.

10.01.03 - nominations begin
29.01.03 - nominations close
11.02.03 - all the nominees (Top 10) are publicized on danceaward.ch voting for all registred users is open
04.03.03 - black voting, the table is taken off the server. Voting goes on for another week.
11.03.03 - voting closes
22.03.03 - final gala, the official dance music award event. Invitation and honouring of the winners.
23.03.03 - final web, 2nd annual dance music award the winners are publicized on danceaward.ch at 08.00 p.m.
