Britain's only royally sanctioned DJ Norman Jay MBE has announced track-listing details of his latest Good Times compilation CD, which comes out a week before this year's Notting Hill Carnival. As usual the CD reflects his highly eclectic musical style which has made his sound system the most popular rig at the West London annual street party.

"We present the music in the best possible light in a party atmosphere, showing that all styles can be compatible if programmed properly," Norman told Skrufff last year.

"We're about breaking down barriers, joining the dots in music showing that the jazz kid who doesn't like house can like reggae and dance to hip hop, all at the same time. It's about breaking down people's prejudices about certain types of music. I'm not a techno DJ, for example, but occasionally I will play a techno record quite unexpectedly," he said

Good Times Volume 3, including classics from Chaka Khan, Freda Payne and the Jackson 5 alongside more recent cuts from the Pound Boys, King Britt and Angie Stone, comes out on React Records on August 18.
