No Wave CD Disowns Electroclash AND Ladytron

Kickin Record's upcoming mix CD No Wave, which opens with Fischerspooner's Emerge and includes productions from Felix Da Housecat, Morgan Geist, DFA and Safety Scissors, has no connection with any of the new music trends, currently being hyped by the UK press, the label announced this week.

"No Wave is certainly not electroclash, it owes more to Man Parrish and Mantronix than to the theatrics of Ladytron," the accompanying press release announced, becoming the first label to diss the hugely over-rated and increasingly ridiculous Liverpool four piece.

"It isn't acid house, it isn't garage, it isn't rock," the release continued, before concluding, "it's a true collection of different styles".

No Wave is out on 28th April on Kickin and is definitely a fine compilation.
