Nick Warren's (Working) Holiday In The Sun

Way Out West/ international DJ Nick Warren will be DJing at a series of sun drenched parties in Australia this Hogmanay (NY), including what's likely to be a blissfully chilled out event on January 9 at infamous hippy paradise Byron Bay.

The (UK) West coast jock made his name working alongside fellow Bristol natives Massive Attack though restructured his life several years ago to devote more time to spinning internationally and having fun.

"So many DJs I know are constantly DJing and travelling and I often bump into them at airports and see that they're really fed up with the lifestyle," said Nick (the last time he chatted to Skrufff in 2001).

"They're moaning 'Oh God, not another gig' and that's the worst way to be. If you're about to perform and are actually looking forward to it, then that's reflected in your set."

Following Australia, he'll be returning to the UK to launch his new Way Out West album which he told DJ last month will be 'more varied, with about half of it being downtempo'.
