UK clubland's future is about 'disco-punk explosions' and an 80s electro revival, Muzik declared in their latest issue.

The struggling monthly eulogised New York duo DFA throughout the magazine, also bigging up anthems from Talking Heads, Human League and Cabaret Voltaire as key tracks behind the exciting new trend.

"It's raw, it's cool and it's putting the energy, funk and attitude back into dance music," they declared.

Despite the fact that their 'disco punk revolution' closely matched the ingredients of electroclash (their accompanying 'disco-punk' covermount CD even includes a DFA remix of Fischerspooner's Emerge) the magazine continued, however, to criticise last years NBT genre in a prominent article on Discordinated.

"Meet electro reprobates Discordinated," the magazine's first New Band feature urged.

"They're a bit like electroclash, only good."
