Musicoz would like to invite original musicians nationwide to enter the Musicoz 2003 - a national music competition that has quickly established a reputation for delivering real opportunities to independent bands, singers and songwriters in Australia. Winners in 18 categories will walk away with some phenomenal prizes as well as the attention of heavyweights in the Australian music industry.

Musicoz is a non-profit, government funded organisation which has notched up some impressive results in just two years. The fundamental principle of Musicoz is to assist with developing the grass roots of the music industry by encouraging those who are struggling to carve out careers for themselves. In just two years, Musicoz has four signed record deals to its credit and continues to attract an ever growing list of dedicated industry supporters from Sony Music and Festival Music Publishing to APRA, Studios 301, Richard Wilkins and many many more.

There have been some impressive success stories to emerge from the previous Musicoz Challenges. 'Zenyth' from Bendigo Victoria are now signed to Sony Music, while Wollongong act 'Porcelain' are currently recording and touring in the U.S. BMG in Germany have recently picked up Sydney rapcore band 'Bent ' and 'Ikey - Mo' from Perth are currently enjoying high rotation airplay on Triple J. Musicoz played an active role in all of these accomplishments.

For 2003, Musicoz has gathered an incredible swag of cash and prizes valued at well over $100,000. These include - a development recording package from Sony Music, a Festival Music Publishing opportunity, recording time at Studios 301, mastering at Turtlerock Studios, professional photo shoots with Tony Mott and Tribal Vision Photography, a broadcast quality music video from Relativity Studios and many, many more.

All entrants in the Musicoz 2003 become eligible for the Musicoz Awards. This is the only national awards event which recognises Australia's unsigned music artists.

The Musicoz Awards event showcases some of the most exciting emerging music the country has to offer, live in front of the Australian music industry. The Musicoz Awards, which are held in November, will also be broadcast across Australia on the national WIN Television Network. This sort of exposure is rare for unsigned artists but Musicoz believes it is imperative in order for unsigned artists to have the biggest possible impact on the Australian music community.

So if you would like to help Musicoz with its objectives and at the same time get noticed by the heavyweights of the music industry be sure to get online and enter now.
