Moby is embracing the paid/for digital download market next week, with the release of his first such digital single Landing/String Electro (available from Monday November 3rd on Moby.com).

Purchasers will also be able to download a colour CD booklet and CD label artwork to burn their own CDs from the website, for the cost of £1.00 sterling.

The download is being made available exclusively on Moby's website moby.com, which should bring greater attention to his often outspoken attacks against the Bush administration, on his regularly updated Journal.

Writing this week he unearthed an interesting quotation relating to the occupation in Iraq.

"Trying to eliminate Saddam...would have incurred incalculable human and political costs. Apprehending him was probably impossible.... We would have been forced to occupy Baghdad and, in effect, rule Iraq.... there was no viable "exit strategy" we could see, violating another of our principles.

"And who wrote that-" asked Moby.

"George W. Bush's dad, George Bush Senior," he said.
