Ministry Of Sound's new celebrity based gossip magazine Trash was inspired by Andy Warhol's film of the same name, magazine's editor Rachel Newsome told the Guardian this week.

"If Andy Warhol were alive today, what kind of magazine would he do-" asked the former Dazed & Confused editor.

"Well, he'd be obsessed by Jordan (the Daily Star's favourite balloon breasted topless model), he'd be obsessed by the Beckhams, he'd be obsessed by Footballer's Wives," she hilariously claimed.

Newsome's decision to equate Posh and Becks with the Velvet Underground's Lou Reed and Nico could have been prompted by the soccer player's incredibly subversive haircuts or even his tattoos, including his latest one "ut amen et foveam" Latin for 'That I may love and cherish'.

"The phrase is actually from the Book of Common Prayer, written in 1549 by Thomas Cramner in English," classics expert Peter Jones told the Telegraph.

"Beckham must have chosen to have the phrase translated into Latin, so one must conclude he was desperate to engender a sense of intellectual kudos."

Trash's first issue is published in June and will be bi-monthly.
