Straight British men wear salmon pink shirts and spurn casual sex, according to more reports in this week's British media examining the rise of the so called 'metrosexual' new age man phenomenon.

According to the American marketer who coined the phrase, such men are 'just gay enough to be really desirable as a straight' and will pose new challenges for advertisers.

"Tits and arse will be replaced with appeals to men's minds," she predicted (speaking to the Guardian). "The laddish must give way to the sensitive."

"In this new century, men are finding the courage to explore the female domain without fear of losing their status as 'real' men, she told the Mirror. "We have treated men as buffoons (clowns) for too long."
