Continuing in the diverse mould that New & Used has shaped, our next event again ventures outside the circle for a night at Melbourne's rock & roll institution - The Esplanade Hotel. Boasting a newly renovated Gershwin Room featuring the massive sound system that graced the famous Freakazoid dance floor, we're throwing a New York style party that simply can't be missed!

Think Detroit's cold futurism, Chicago's abstract track-modes, and the warmth of New York and New Jersey's deep house and yu immediately think of the music produced by New York's connoisseurs of the deep, METRO AREA. They bring back the mysterious and soulful experimentation of early club classics while mixing moods with the fresh emotions of modern music.

The METRO AREA duo is comprised of Darshan Jesrani (Strictly Rhythm/SubFreq) and Morgan Geist (Metamorphic/East West/Clear, and owner of Environ), two quality-obsessed producers sharing an impressive breadth of musical inspiration and production skills. Add to this a rotating band of top-quality session musicians (strings, guitar, flute, and percussion) and you have a recipe for some of the most exciting new music being released today.

It is with great pleasure we welcome METRO AREA's Darshan Jesrani to the New & Used decks alongside Angela Maison, Ant J Steep and Grant Smillie in our latest adventure to legendary Gershwin Room at the Espy.

It's an early affair as we have to close at 3am… Don't be late for this one!
