Cornwall based Mancunian exile Lee 'Metamatics' Norris has pulled together all three of his recording personas (Metamatics, Norken and Nacht Plank) for his latest album Mind Mushing Git, which comes out in the Uk on Monday 9August 4).

Previously available in Scandinavia, the album represents the first time Lee's truly merged his musical personas.

"I don't really split them, but I also don't sit down at the computer thinking 'Let's make a piece of music'," Lee told Skrufff in a recent interview.

"The difference between Metamatics and Norken, for example, is that Norken uses a standard 4/4 beat, like a techno/house beat, even though it's not designed for the dance floor, whereas Metamatics is more free-flowing. But then again, there's a connection between both because the music has lots of strings and melodies."

The fanatical Manchester City supporter also confessed to a typically northern approach to song-writing.

"I find it really difficult to write music when the sun's shining. I associate the summer with happy music such as reggae," he said.

"I write all my music when it's raining and grey outside."
