S Express acid house pioneer Mark Moore headlines this weekend's Pushca event, kicking off the London clubbing institution's first proper party for over two years. Joining him on the decks will be fellow Pushca originals Craig Jensen and K Klass for a night that the promoters hope should be exceptional.

"Pushca in its original form was all about challenging traditional expectations of what a night out involves and less is definitely not more, as far as we're concerned," Pushca partner Rob Griffin told Skrufff.

"We're aiming to provide the best night of people's lives, which might sound a bit over-the-top, but we're really trying to deliver that extra something special - something memorable. We want to make sure people feel they've got their £25 worth."

What they're almost certain for their £25 is Mark Moore showcasing his new favourite genre electro (clash) including one or two tracks by his favourite artist Peaches.

"I first fell in love with Peaches from seeing her on stage then I met her offstage and fell in love with her off stage persona even more," Mark told Skrufff this week.

"Everyone loves Peaches, she's a 21st century icon, the new Iggy Pop."

Regularly visiting electro clubs like Nag, Nag, Nag, The Cock and Return To New York (both to DJ and dance) his decision to return to Pushca augers well for the vibe of the Saturday night event.

"I'm just interested in going to new clubs where you can meet people with the same kind of outlook. They're not people that I'd call explicitly political, I wouldn't call myself political, but they're aware and conscious of what's going on in the world," he continued.

"That was missing from a lot of the clubs that I was going to three years ago, whereas now I'm meeting people whose minds are more attuned."

Helping fine-tune the crowd, will be the club's renowned strict dress code which for their first party is being themed around 'Faking It'

"We're asking London to fake their hair, their jewellery, their tan, whatever," said Rob.

"Anything fake is fine, while No Nos (people refused admission) will just be anyone who hasn't made an effort. We believe London is crying out for parties where people can get dressed up."
