Claiming to be the best New Year's Eve event in the Universe - no doubt due to the number of stars in attendance - Lovecity at The Prince in St Kilda, will be brought to you by the infamous onelove crew.

Joining the stars, will be the usual assortment of A-list socialites, punked-up party people, fabulous fashionistas, eclectic electro epileptics and dirty disco divas, so if you think you've seen it all, Lovecity will prove you very, very wrong.

The onelove crew claim "We are going to wreck you", and so they've laid down the challenge to the clubbing faithful when it comes to seeing in 2004. And these guys should know as they bring Melbourne its biggest Saturday night every week at The Prince.

With doors opening from 9pm, the line-up for Lovecity features onelove's own resident DJ's, John Course and Grant Smillie - Melbourne's own masters of the house sound and the best in the business. They'll be joined by special interstate guest, Goodwill from Sydney's Home nightclub, who is jetting in especially for this one-off special event.

Also live on stage will be sensational Melbourne house music collective Dirty Laundry featuring DJ's JJ Styles and Dean Cherny, accompanied by MC Seany B - whose linguistic gymnastics come to you in English, Spanish, or his own brand of Raggamuffin. Added to by female vocals and hypnotic percussion, Dirty Laundry's unique deep and jazzy 'electrofunk odyssey' features a concoction of electro, jazz, hip hop and funk, underlined by a healthy dose of dirty bass, bastard beats and old school groove.

Out in The Backroom, flying in direct from Fitzroy, The Mecca Crew will put you on your arse with a trip to hell and back, so don't miss out on the sights and sounds to be soaked up in this seedy sleaze-pit.

Strictly limited tickets are on sale now for $40 (plus booking fee) from The Prince Public Bar, onelove (Saturday nights), Central Station (City), Rhythm & Soul (City and Prahran) and Supermarket (St Kilda). Credit card bookings can also be made by phoning 9536 1168.
