Limelight & Twilo To Re-Open In New York

Three new superclubs are due to open in New York this Fall (autumn) with two of them setting up on the sites of Twilo and Limelight, according to a report in the New York Post.

Spirit, a club themed around New age ideas, will be opening up at Twilo's old West 27th Street premises while Avalon will be reclaiming the converted church previously known as Limelight (on 6th Avenue and 20th Street).

"People come to New York to experience things," Avalon promoter Steve Adelman told the New York Post.

"They want something they can't do anywhere else."

The third club due to open is Crobar on West 28th Street. All three could be extremely vulnerable to America's new anti-dancing laws if any of their customers are caught using drugs.
